What's On                                                                          400 years after the death of William Shakespeare we celebrate his greatness with a year of celebrations and tribute events. Please see what's coming up throughout the year! 

What's next? In honour of the 400 years since Shakespeare's death, Shakespeare Street Theatre are celebrating by donating free readings this year at festivals and poetry workshops, and raising funds for our furry friends at the Northumberland Humane Society. We are also delighted to be performing another production with the Northumberland Players with our favourite comedy Twelfth Night, at the Firehall Theatre, Cobourg, this November 2016!

MARCH Shakespeare Poetry and Readings - Thurs 17th March - Meet at 66 King East, Cobourg, K9A 1K9 - 7.30pm  APRIL Sonnets, poems and readings - Sat 23rd April - Cobourg Downtown in the street throughout the day!  JUNE AUDITIONS Thurs 2nd, 6pm-8pm and Sun 5th, 6pm-8pm, Firehall Theatre, 213 Second St, Cobourg, ON.   Cobourg Highland Games - Sat 18th June, Victoria Park, Cobourg.    JULY Canada Day Parade - Fri 1st July - Enjoy our Shakespeare Street Theatre float!    AUGUST - Cobourg Sidewalk Sale - Enjoy the FREE readings and sonnets at our "Ye Olde Lemonade Stand" raising funds for the Northumberland Human Society.

SEPTEMBER Shakespeare in the Street - Harvest Festival, downtown Cobourg on Saturday 17th September.  Listen to the FREE sonnet readings by Shakespeare Street Theatre at our "Ye Olde Lemonade Stand". Proceeds from the lemonade sold are donated to the Northumberland Humane Society.  

   

OCTOBER Spooky Shakespeare, Cobourg downtown - Presentation of Shakespeare scenes of horror!!!  NOVEMBER Twelfth Night - Firehall Theatre, 213 Second St, Cobourg   DECEMBER Magic with Shakespeare - An evening of festive sonnets and scenes!
